چکیده

Natural regeneration is an indicator of a healthy forest, hence, understanding the influence site factors on natural significant concern for ecologists. This work aimed to assess impact tree at Khadimnagar National Park (KNP). Biotic (tree density, species richness, and basal area), physical (elevation, canopy openness), soil properties (bulk moisture content, pH, organic matter, sand, silt, clay) data were investigated from 71 sample plots examine their effects density richness in KNP. Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was done predict both richness. The results showed that pH (p<0.001), openness (p<0.01), bulk (p<0.01) had effect explaining 42% total variation. Regeneration driven by four factors: elevation with model explained 60% study observed are main controlling influenced regenerating Therefore, these findings have implications resource management, especially selecting suitable silvicultural systems tropical forest under protected area management where enhanced cover conservation biodiversity needed.

Environmental factors affecting tissue regeneration of the reef--building coral Montastraea annularis (Faviidae) at Los Roques National Park, Venezuela.

In this study, the rates of tissue regeneration and recovery from injuries that emulated the bites of either butterfly or parrotfish on colonies of Montastraea annularis exposed to different sedimentation regimesp were determined. Two small reef patches were chosen close to key Dos Mosquises, north of the Venezuclan mainland. Sixteen colonies (8 treatments + a single replicate) were artificiall...

Factors influencing farmers' concerns regarding bovine tuberculosis in wildlife and livestock around Riding Mountain National Park.

Despite intensive efforts over the last century to eradicate bovine tuberculosis (TB) in North America, several hotspots of infected wildlife and livestock remain, raising concerns that the disease will never be eradicated. The stress and frustration for a farmer caused by having a herd test positive for TB or living in an infected region can be substantial. The goal of this study was to invest...

Seasonal and demographic factors influencing gastrointestinal parasitism in ungulates of Etosha National Park.

Host-parasite dynamics can be strongly affected by seasonality and age-related host immune responses. We investigated how observed variation in the prevalence and intensity of parasite egg or oocyst shedding in four co-occurring ungulate species may reflect underlying seasonal variation in transmission and host immunity. This study was conducted July 2005-October 2006 in Etosha National Park, N...

Floristic Composition and Structure of the Dry Afromontane Forest at Bale Mountains National Park, Ethiopia

The floristic composition and structure of the Dry Afromontane Forest at Bale Mountains National Park was studied from July 2003 to June 2004. A total of 90 plots were established at three sites (Adelle, Boditi and Gaysay) at an altitudinal range of 3010–3410 m. The cover abundance values, density, and diameter at breast height and list of species were recorded in each plot. About 230 species b...
